From 12 July until the end of the year if you take the Sports pack it is going to be free or £6 per month for each pack (News, Music and Sports).

Apparently anyone that has just Sky sports 1 on 15th July will get a free upgrade for 3 months to the full sky sports pack.

I phoned earlier to remove the movies channel and mentioned i would take sky sports on again when the football start and was told about the above offer.

As i was swapping a premium package of movies for a premium sports package then i didn't have to give 31 days notice to remove the movies, worked out pretty well in the end.

Nice promo, but Eurosport draws me way more than Sky Sports.
I'll keep SS1 until the offer runs out though.

So it's still £6/month for iPod Touch and iPhone users, but only £6 for iPad users who already have the Sports pack on full TV?

Yes but as of 12 July it is free for both.

I assume they're still showing 25% adverts on most of these channels, after you've paid them £83 a month?

The amounts they charge for the sports and higher packages always shocks me, I just can't believe people would pay eighty quid a month for a telly sub - you'd have to spend all your spare time watching tv for it to come close to being worthwhile!

Bit late in the day but I just phoned up to cancel...I'm on the full package...and was offered a 25% discount for a year! Okay, not the greatest deal in the world but, like most people I suspect, I didn't really want to cancel so better than a slap in the face with a wet kipper!!

...for what it's worth she said it was a new offer and was strictly limited to loyal customers!
