That happens during Lalla Ward's introduction as Romana at the beginning of Destiny of the Daleks. In a particularly silly scene, she regenerates several times (off-screen) as though she were trying on new outfits.

Hey, maybe we'll get to see the Doctor regenerate into a pantomime dame, children's t.v presenter, rape monkey, trolley dolly and sarf London chav all in quick succession?

Brilliant, definitely. Mad? Totally.
It would make a great third "Transporter" film.

Surely RTD has helped stitch up that Lalla Ward regeneration problem with the christmas invasion and the throw away line explaining his hand and the fact he was in his first so many hours of regeneration.

I thought he was pretty good (especially in his last series when he played it darker).

The real problem with the McCoy era was the stories, I used to watch it religiously but remember cringing when the "Bertie Bassett" episded played, and I found Ace to be an awful companion.

The last decent companions that stand out were Turlough (sp?) and Peri , and McCoy really got the runt of the litter with Ace (did he have Mel as well, or was the Colin Baker - who I thought was also decent, but again had some dire stories, and awful companions)

No I think he did a good job as well, actually amongst my favourites, at least in the later stories when they started to get a bit better again. There are some great stories in the final series (Ghostlight, Curse of Fenric etc) and I think he plays a really interesting, slightly dark and manipulative Doctor with a lot of secrets, there's a real sense that you don't want to be on the wrong side of him and also a hint of real power.
