We didn't win it in style last time.

Like it or not, we really will lose new supporters if we keep on playing this way, & then when sponsors drop, it will be a long hall back.

But it does mean United now have to win the home leg.

And to avoid nerves, 0-0 away from home normally means you have to quickly get to 2-0 lead at home.

Anyone know why Ben Jedder wasn't playing yesterday?

I'd be more confident of a Mourinho team holding a 1-0 lead. If it was us I wouldn't be confident until we had a 5-0 lead

That assumes his team is capable of getting the 1-0 lead to start with

But I agree ... 1-0 rarely seems to be enough for us

Well, well, well. I don't normally listen to the radio at 4.45, but I turned it on for some music & it had been left on Talk Sport. There was a Manchester United fan on, & 'more or less' his words were. My son is a Manchester United fan & he said to his dad that he prefers to watch Manchester City. The guy went on to say he was a fan for 50 years & he prefers to watch Manchester City. They don't want to but United are not entertaining anymore. Then another guy after comes on, also a Manchester United fan & he said, I agree with everything the guy before said. These were genuine United fans & I know exactly where they are coming from. It also endorses what I said earlier today about new young fans & sponsorship. We have to address this 'más rapido'. If Mourinho can't make give us entertaing winning football, then he has to be replaced with a manager who can.

Oh P.S. I'm sure if you go onto talk sport you can hear it for yourself on the repeat.

IMO, if they are that quick to jump ship then they aren't real fans.

I can understand a kid doing that, but a 50 year fan?

I knew you would say that. The guy didn't say that. He watched city because they were entertaining, not because he liked them, unlike the dross that United have become. It's not just city. Spurs & Liverpool are more entertaining than us.

Our manager is lousy, most of our overpaid players are lousy & the way we play is lousy. As 'Sam Cooke' sang 'A Change is Gonna Come'... & WE all can't wait.

I don't give a **** how entertaining City are, I wouldn't give them the time of day, let alone any money.

Things used to be cordial between the clubs, but I've seen them doing aeroplane impressions too many times to ever want to go and watch watch them.

Most United fans I know wouldn't dream of watching City, regardless how entertaining they might be at the moment.

If it's about entertainment, pick another local side, it'd be a damn sight cheaper too.

I wouldn't watch them either. The only city games I watch, are United/city & one of the top 4 against city always siding on the non city team.

Exactly this, your teams picks you, not the other way round. You're not a true supporter if you prefer to watch another team, just because they are more successful or play more attractive football. Watching a team you don't support just has no emotional involvement.

I don't agree with you at all, I enjoy watching Real Madrid & Barcelona & always have. Obviously if we play them I want us to win, but that does not make me a lesser Manchester United supporter

Are you emotionally involved by Madrid or Barca though?

I enjoy watching plenty of football, but I don't prefer to watch it. There's a big difference.

Today is an absolute must win. I said that a few months ago thinking that we might have a very, very, long shot at the title. Now because of the durge way we play, & the results because of it, I am saying today is an absolute must win, to give us a chance of a Champions league place. How the mighty keep falling.

The whole mood of today's game feels half-hearted already. I know it's early days, but it feels like an end-of-season kick around (both fans and players).

Where's the attitude gone? Needs an injection of something,

Scott McWhathisface having a nightmare.
This game needs Mata.
Why are we so reluctant to throw a few crosses in?

Stupid stupid system, stupid team. Stubborn manager.
