[Netflix] Prequel series to The Dark Crystal

That's right folks some of the scariest muppets are back in a prequel series.

Slight problem is that Louis Leterrier who has made a couple of stinkers is directing but did make the Transporter

You'll have to wait till 2018 though

Great puppet designs but the original film is one of the most boring films ever made.

Yeah I said that.

Yep. Don't think I ever saw the whole of it.

I'm utterly delighted by this. The Dark Crystal is one of the films that filled my childhood, and absolutely terrified me. Great news that the original designer, Brian Froud, is working on this too.

TRIAL BY STONE!!!

A couple of episodes in and this is just magic. The artistry is top notch and completely matches up to the style set in the original film. There are moments where I completely forget I'm watching puppets and just get swept up in the action on screen.

It's also retained the "nightmare fuel for kids" element. Fantastic voice work from all concerned, too.

Finished it now. It's an absolute masterpiece. The production quality is just mind blowing and the story builds on the established world to make a far more nuanced story. I hope there's more to come.
