Well I doubt you'll get consensus on that, great as it was.

If you think that the franchise owners care about anything other than money, I'd suggest watching any advert break for a Halifax advert.

Yeah I liked the remake, nothing wrong with it, its as jockosjungle pointed out, not a particularly memorable film but a fun enough watch and disposable.

Whereas you could say the same about Ghostbusters 2, but I didn't like it at the time as felt too much like a remake of the first (this recent one as meant to be!)

Indeed. It was bad enough when they used the Hannah Barbera cartoons, but I actually shouted "Oh **** off!" at my TV when I saw the Ghostbusters one.

You never know, this new movie might be like that live action Thunderbirds a few years ago from 2004.

Bit surprised they have not crapped over back to the future reboot/remake yet,

It'll never happen while Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis are still alive

Paul Rudd has joined the cast, looks like it's gonna be connected to the original films properly. (I managed 15 minutes of the 2016 one before turning it off in boredom)

Can't wait for this now. I'd totally go gay for Paul Rudd.

The BBFC have just rated the first trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife running at just under 2.5 minutes. I expect it will arrive very soon. Like most films, they'll probably release the first poster the day before the trailer.

That was a brilliant tease and I really like the vibe it's giving off. Also, I guess the reveal of the original Ghostbusters is being held off until the main trailer. This looks like it could be very good.
(die hard GB fan.)

Fantastic trailer. Teases without giving too much away. It got the balance just right.

Just one problem, though...

If this is a sequel to the first two GB movies, shouldn't ECTO-1 be the car from GB2 with the GB2 logo on it and more lights?

I mean, what did they do? Redesign ECTO-1 for GB2 then change it back to the design from the first film?

Or Ecto-1 from GB2 was a different car?

I guess that makes more sense than re-designing it and then changing it back.
