Last film killed the franchise, there's nothing this film can do to redeem that.

The Last Jedi took $1.3 billion world wide. Definitely "killed the franchise"

Nowt really wrong with Rian Johnson's directing on The Last Jedi. It was the dreadful script he came up with. Complete garbage.

I thought we’d got rid of all the Skywalker stuff?

I really hope they’re not going to give into moaning on the internet and make Rey a bloody Skywalker.

The Last Jedi is a fine movie, just a terrible Star Wars movie.

This trailer looks fantastic. Which of course doesn't mean the film will be too.

I'm hoping she is Palaptine's daughter and Kylo lied to her because he knows the truth. And like Ben he needs her to kill him but does not want her to chicken out cos we know she really wants a daddy and even though he is not very nice (from a certain point of view) at least she would have a dad at last.

Either that or she is Yoda's kid and in the late night series The Yoda Diaries on Disney+ we get to see the little green guy's shenanigans on the dating circuit.

$800m less than the previous film, call it a success if you're deluded but that last $800m is pure profit. It did OK and made money, but do you really think they weren't disappointed?

TLJ had a knock on effect with Solo as it had terrible box office (as solo was not very good imo).

Hopefully there is planet super weapon in this

But with regards to Lando, it would be brilliant if one of the last scenes is from that trailer with him chuckling away as he puts the falcon into hyperspace and goes off into the sunset.

Didn't they do something like that already with Robert Wagner and Rob Lowe?

Totally agree with that. I was so excited at the teasers/trailer for Force Awakens and Last Jedi, but after the last film, I just wasn't as bothered when I saw this trailer was on its way.

It looks ok, but then so did TLJ trailer(s).

As a lifelong Star Wars fan, I'm more excited for 'Endgame' now, than Ep9!

I'd predict endless talking with ghosts.

Surely Star Wars is the predominantly the story of the Skywalkers, first his Dad, then Luke, it'd seem odd to have the last part of it have very little to do with them. he spent a lot of time on that Island, I'd guess he'd learned something.

AKA The Skywalker Saga. One of the reasons TLJ feels so off.

I'm guessing the Skywalker in the title will refer more to a religious movement than a person/descendent. So Jedi is say Old Testament and Skywalker is New Testament. Makes sense following Luke's actions in the The Last Jedi and in particular the final scene with the kids.

I want to get excited for this but apart from the possibility of the Emporer coming back I couldn't be less interested in this. None of the new characters are particularly likeable or have anything going for them which was one of the biggest faults with the prequel trilogy. Lucas clearly hit gold with the original line up.
