Oh dear. As they say, that's what the FA Cup is about.

I like to give credit where credit is due, but Wolves looked like a bottom half championship team today and still beat us
We're effectively playing league one level football right now.

Don't understand why managers don't take this competition seriously. Put a team like that out against a championship team and you will lose. Just don't get it when it's the only chance of any silverware.
Money and champions league more important than winning stuff. I'll never understand it.

So you're saying we're a one man team? We should have enough quality to have caused more problems than we have recently. 80% possession, 6x as many passes as Wolves made but they were solid and comfortable throughout, always looked like they had another in them on the break and we hardly created any decent chances and the only time we looked like nicking one was when it was lumped into the box and a chaotic scramble.

Teams know how to defend against us and we don't have the quality to break them down, or the quality and pace at the back to nullify their counters.

I thought Wolves were excellent, fully deserved the win. They knew how to play against us, had a gameplan and stuck to it solidly. We kept playing it through the middle and there was nowhere to go, and we rarely got down the wing to put any decent crosses in, and even when we did they rarely got past the first defender. They could easily have had a third if that guy had aimed for the far corner as well.

Even though it was another weakened team he played today, I'm dreading Chelsea whilst we're in this poor form, they're second to none at defending solidly and hitting with pace on the break.

Jurgen needs to go back to the drawing board, we need to have a plan B and C for when A isn't working.

That's just the point Mane is our plan B. His pace makes a huge difference, when we fail to pass through a team. Without him, teams can sit back and let us have the ball
Nowhere did I say Wolves didn't deserve the win, but a top half premier league team should have taken them apart. Wolves really weren't that good, it's just that we really have been that bad recently.
Congratulations to Wolves they did enough to win, but it's not like they'll win the cup

Lambert got his tactics spot on. We didn't really need to be that good. We still had the better chances to score more too.

Lambert bizarrely has an amazing record at Anfield too.

It's not like your going to win the Champions League, The Fa cup, The League cup, The European cup, The Premiership title... so what.

No need. Especially as we are still to play yet!

The Liverpool game against Chelsea could be a season breaker. Vital.

Awful performance - again. Some of those young players just weren't up to the task; Randall, Ejaria & Gomez in particular and I thought Woodburn was poor. Klavan did what Klavan does

Klopp made the right substitutions - but I would have bought them all on at half time.

Oh, and Senegal have just been knocked out the AFCON ... because Mane missed his penalty in the penalty shootout Hopefully his bags are already packed and we have a private jet lined up ready to fly him home tonight

I'll be glad when January is over, just a shame we still have to play Chelsea before the month ends.

Knowing us we'll probably play Chelsea off the park and get the win.

Or, since it is still in January - we'll get more blatant penalties not given and offside goals allowed (just like yesterday) or very soft penalties awared against us as has been norm for the whole month

11/12 ( but it was just after they had won the league ).

But my post was more about Klopp's record against the top clubs than our actual history against Chelsea in particular

Typically - Mane's flight was delayed for some reason ( despite being a private jet ) and he is not expected back til tonight

Got to admire the cheek of Luis - just a shame for Liverpool ( but no surprise ) it was never a freekick

The Chelsea front two sum up everything that is wrong with refereeing in this country tbh. Costa is seen as a strong aggressive player and would probably have to be murdered to win a free kick. Hazard is seen as a slighter, skilful player and would win a free kick if a gust of wind blew him over

The fact that it is so predictable tells you just how corrupt the officiating is.

You even had Liverpool being penalised for offside for a backwards pass !!!!!

A lot better performance - arguably should have won.

Luckily other results went our way as well
