I'd say you'd have still sacked Rodgers the following season. Would there be the glamour of being the guy to bring a title to Liverpool for Klopp? Who knows

It's like many things in football, Klopp was the right man for the job. Maybe he could have gone to United and had the same problems as everyone else, but sometimes you are just the right fit at the right time.

Can't see you not winning it now, as a neutral it's great to see a new team winning something and breaking what seemed to be the unstoppable Man City and the likes of PSG, the money would destroy football, nobody would compete, etc.

Don't win it for five years though, that'll get boring.

Possibly but Rodgers was hugely reliant, that season, on Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling all being on fire all season. Rodgers was also pretty rubbish in Europe.

The kids have only gone and done it !!!!

A fantastic performance all round ( and arguably far better than some of the senior players in the first game ).

Where's your narrative going to go now LFC and Klopp haters ?

Great result but still believe he should have been using the likes of Lovren,Keita,Matip last night.business end of the season and they need games .

Now you've got another game. Although I'm guessing the title is now in sight, maybe there will be some scope to try a bit harder in the upcoming fixture. Even if you won the next 2 out of 3, it's more a march to the title.

I think it was more a point of principle rather than anything else. If the replay hadn't been during the break then I think the fringe players may well have played.

Pretty sure he won't be playing the kids at Stamford Bridge.

I have a mate, who I have been going to games with for the best part of 20 years, who wouldn't of minded us dropping points today ... he is convinced that (unless we draw at least twice soon) we are winning the title @ home to Crystal Palace and he has long standing plans all of that weekend celebrating his wife's 70th birthday

i'm hoping the Palace game gets postponed..as it would mean we have a FA Cup quarter final that weekend.

Good win today. Norwich were decent value and played better football than bottom would suggest.

Indeed.

He needs that to happen as well as he hopes the team win the title whilst actually playing and at home. We have, at most, 3 home games in the period where we could win the title; Bournemouth ( but only if City lose their next two and Leicester don't beat Norwich ), Palace ( which hopefully gets postponed ) and Villa ( but we need to have dropped at least 4 points by then in order to not have already won it by then )

So ... if Liverpool, and only Liverpool, had to revert back to "2 points for a win" this season then .... we'd still be top of the table

Woeful in the first half, let down by a total ******* disgrace of a ref in the 2nd.

AM are such a stubborn, organised team, although it doesn't help when they kick you all over the place but got down like there's a sniper on the roof everytime someone goes near them. Such a horrible, negative style of football, they really are the antithesis of Real and Barca. Can see the possession stats being even more in our favour at Anfield, but they always look dangerous on the counter.
