They didn't win yesterday! But yes, we weren't ever in contention to win the tie

It's the nature of the away goals rule, the second they got one, the tie was pretty much over

Both central defenders were great last night. Finally getting performances out of Lovren.

Clyne had a very bad game, was really worried he was going to cost us more. Coutinho's goal was excellent, but his no luck pass into a dangerous area which resulted in the penalty was a shocker.

Sturridge, still doesn't seem to be at full fitness, I've noticed he doesn't try and run past defenders at all since he got back. And he's usually very quick.

Was a deserved win. Still expecting us to pull Dortmund.

You sound surprised. Away leg first is better imo.

Manchester United and Liverpool have been charged by Uefa following crowd trouble during the Europa League last-16 second leg at Old Trafford.

Liverpool have been charged over the 10/15 seconds of illicit chanting by a handful of supporters yet no action was taken over 90 minutes of Hillsborough by 100s of United fans last week.

Remind me ... what position does David Gill currently hold at UEFA?

On god. I'd love to find out that you have been on the wind up all these years. But it must be stressful being you.

No wind up at all - it beggars belief that the only chanting the UEFA rep(s) heard over the 2 legs was 10 seconds by LFC fans.

Unfor there are idiots on both sides. Anyone that chants anything about Hillsborough or Munich should be banned for life. Thankfully its a minority, but still unacceptable, but its not something to point score on. Just ban any 'fans' involved.

I fully agree but you misunderstand me - not pointing scoring at all.

Why have United not been charged when they more culpable?

Both fans have been charged with throwing 'objects' which presumably includes the seats.

I also don't get the 'late kick off' charge given to Liverpool as well. I didn't notice any particular delay in the kick off

Adam actually has a point...

Why have Liverpool been cited for chanting when it was perfectly audible on tv over both legs, that United were chanting about Hillsborough.

How do UEFA's representatives only hear selective chanting from one side, when the press picked up on initial chanting from United fans first.

Both sets of fans have their idiots, but to selectively pick on one set, is disingenuous at best.

Nailing Southampton on the counter. They are leaving themselves so wide open.

We should be 4 up.
