I will spend the next week wondering whether 2-0 is enough

I'd say it's game over. Whilst we might have it in us to score a few goals against you next week, soft pen aside, you really should have won by 4 goals last night and you didn't play that well.

I'd be amazed if you don't score at OT, meaning we'd have to beat you by 3 goals. Not going to happen.

Problem is we struggle to score, there is little chance they'll be this poor again next week and we may well be affected by the atmosphere there.
Id be pretty confident at 3-0. At 2 I'm still a little worried although we are firmly in the driving seat.

Get too much more of the crap that gets served upon the pitch - they won't be doing do much corporate dining.

Roy Hodgson: “It’ll be interesting to see how Daniel is. We won’t be looking to take extra special care with him, any more than we do with any England player.”

Klopp is carefully managing Sturridge's game time, Hodgson ignores it completely. Says everything.

He said (and did) pretty much the same thing last time - Sturridge didn't play again for 5/6 months.

Fit or not, there's surely got to be better players currently in form they should be taking a look at?

I totally agree.

There is no possible reason to pick a player for a friendly when he is not 100% fit and has barely played for his club in for the past 12 months - except that Roy Hodgson is a complete and utter cretin.

Arguably, Klopp has managed Sturridge's return from injury brilliantly - only for Uncle Roy to **** it all up.

If I was Sturridge and I read that quote I would withdraw myself from the squad immediately.

It just about sums him up, and to be fair recent England managers. They whinge about a lack of English talent, then Leicester show up and have done fantastic work with players that would never have got a chance at a big club. Then he just wants to pick the same tired faces who he picked last time.

Sturridge a tired face? a half fit Sturridge is still streets ahead of most English strikers. Let him play, this cotton wool treatment doesn't work long term,it's sink or swim time..He can either play regularly or he can't.time to find out.

What cotton wool treatment? Hodgson broke him for 6 months last time when he played him when he was not fully fit. Roy is so ******* stupid he will do the same thing again.

As I said earlier he has no reason to even call him up; he is fully aware of what he can when fit. He should be using these 2 games to see if the likes of Vardy can work.

this has been bit of an odd performance. Defence looks ropey as ****.

I missed the penalty as my feed dropped.

Very relieved after that went in! A lot of pressure on us but we looked dangerous on the break and both teams could have had a few more, but that now needs an incredible second half from United without reply for us not to get through.
