That is because the FA don't know how to use it properly.

The WC showed how, in the right hands and with competent officials, VAR works perfectly and with very little interruption in playing time.

I tend not to go with possession and territory stats. It's about chances created and realistically it's about how many of those chances you actually put away. I felt we looked more likely to score than Arsenal
I think you could easily accumulate points and play well enough to win the title in other PL seasons, but I really don't see City slipping up in any way. I guess you'll sort of keep pace, but lose the odd game and the odd draw and slowly slip to about 15 points also.

As for VAR, not sure the world cup was the greatest use of it, decisions were often missed or ignored, etc.

They just need to decide whether they actually want it or not

Probably the worst game I've seen Milner have for us

Truly awful. God alone knows why Gomez and Firmino didn't start

Need a PSG win tonight now ... I think

Klopp's insistence in trying to shoehorn a clearly finished Lallana into the side is another example of his blindspot. I've said for weeks but no one has agreed, we are miles off where we were last season. We are slower, the press has gone, the midfield has no creativity whatsoever and we are struggling for goals. As for Salah, it's got to be an impersonator. PSG have to win tonight because they'll turn us over in Paris, which at least would give us a chance at qualifying by beating Napoli in the last game. I sense Europa League is heading our way. 3 wins in 9 now.

Agree with that ... PSG win tonight and the next round is largely irrelevant provided we beat Napoli at home ( which is more likely than winning in Paris )

So Napoli and PSG draw. Who wants to do the permutations?

If we lose in Paris we would need a 2 goal win over Napoli to go through on head to head. (assuming Napoli & PSG beat Red Star, which they will) We win in Paris, we are through (if Red Star don't beat Napoli, which they won't)

Or if PSG fail to beat Red Star then just a draw in Paris should be enough.

The late Napoli goal doesn't really change the easy path; just means any win on Day 6 becomes a 2 goal win.

PSG will beat Red Star in their last group game though. We are going to need to beat Napoli by 2 goals, i am not confident, they are the only unbeaten team in the group, hard to beat and Ancelotti is a master tactician..

Realistically a win in either game takes us through (as long as it's not 2-1, 3-2 etc against Napoli).

Alternatively ...

Assuming Napoli beats RSB.

Beat PSG: We are through
Draw PSG: Have to beat a qualified Napoli at home.
Lose PSG: We have to beat Napoli by 2 goals.

There are also, apparently, a couple of scenarios where us, PSG and Napoli all finish on 9 which would all see us go through because we lost last night

But basically ... everyone saying we MUST beat PSG to stay in is wrong.

And that is the argument for and against VAR in a nutshell.

It looked close from the back of the Kop and apparently it was a moving ball when Alisson took the freekick.

Another poor team performance for me but with good individual performances from Shaqiri, Robertson and Salah.

Thought it was a good goal from the upper main but I am on row 92 thought Fulham even without that no way deserved to be behind at HT. Our mojo has disappeared, we are getting away with it in the league but being found out in europe.after Watford we have a mad December coming up,we need to massively improve in most areas.

Bluenoses take a point off Chelsea

Over to you United. And if United and Arsenal do win then the Top 5 will be on 30, 29, 28, 27 and 26 points respectively LOL
