If we fail to win next week we likely won't be top 4. So while we should beat Brighton there are no guarantees. So not sure how you think we should be on the beach league wise.

I don’t think you should be on the beach, and the game on Friday annoyed me no end - but I think it’s the modern player’s mentality. I like to see players fighting to the end, but it just doesn’t happen anymore.

Why even worry about that until Thursday ? It's a Bank Holiday weekend and the sun has been shining all weekend and should do tomorrow as well Based on their performance today, Huddersfield could easily get at least a point on Wednesday.

In other non-saltysam in pessimistic mood but rather early transfer rumours news

Isn't Fekir the one who has chilblains which mean he can't play in cold climates in the winter ? Or is that Seri ?

it's not a case of being pessimistic,i've actually watched our league games over the last couple of months and we've been, for the most part, poor.

That's as maybe but we have certainly been unfortunate - some would say totally robbed - as well [ certainly for WBA and Stoke ]

But if you'd have offered, back in August, "you'll need to beat Brighton at home on the last day to guarantee Top 4 and you'll be in the CL Final" - you won't find many LFC fans IMHO who wouldn't have snapped your hands off there and then.

Maybe Pep should take note of that for next season!

So it's pretty simple.
Win our last two games and we've had a good season.
Lose our last two games and it's not been a good season.

I fully expect us to lose to Brighton and then beat Real on penalties.

SHame Chelsea did get a point though as we'd have secured four spot if they hadn't. At least it means we only need a point on Sunday, but still should have been wrapped up a few weeks ago and puts unneccessary pressure on for that last game.

If you lose to Brighton and Chelsea beat Newcastle...

Unlikely, but you never know.

True.

But according to some on here we were definitely going to have to win on Sunday cos Chelsea weren't going to drop any points.

And according to you a couple of years ago Leicester were going to collapse around the end of January

Mane has a knock and is unlikely to be fit for Sunday's game.

Very comfortable afternoon thank goodness, just a shame Leicester couldn't quite hold out against Spurs, but so glad Salah got the golden boot and that goal gifted to Kane didn't become relevent!

Easy in the end, I'm sure we said weeks ago that Chelsea would never get the wins they needed.

Never been happier to lose some money. Adam, can you confirm it was £20 to the Alzheimer’s Society?
I’ll put a screenshot of the payment up once you’ve confirmed!

Do you know, I had completely forgot all about this. Cheers monkeyman.

A lot more comfortable than the Boro game 12 months ago but, at 1-0, Mane was getting a shed load of abuse from everyone around me (on the Kop) when he passed to Salah on the edge of the 6 yard box with the goal at his mercy

I think Mane had not passing to Firmino for a tap in on his mind when he did that.i would also say Salah was too close,he should've been wider then the keeper would've had no chance.
