Exactly this.

Arguably, Real Madrid over 2 legs would have been the better option.

A team that’s just won it twice in a row and have one of the two worlds best players in unbelievable form. Or Roma...

Liverpool have by far and away the easiest draw they could have got, Bayern and Madrid are far superior. There’s no need to try and claim otherwise.

Yeah, Roma certainly the 'easier' draw but to get to the semis you can't expect any to be easy. Anyone who can knock out Barca over two legs deserves to be there and it'll be tough

You've just got to beat a top team over two legs, I don't think any looked much better on paper but certainly no worse.

So by my reckoning, unless Chelsea win all their remaining games by 3/4 goals, then we just need either:

1) 5 points, or
2) 3 draws (as long as one of them is at Chelsea), or
3) Beat Chelsea

Not quite squeaky bum time .... yet

I'd suggest you'd have qualified by the time you play them, can't see you not winning your next two matches, but Chelsea only have one game in the league before your next match. I'd guess they'd beat Swansea. I also reckon you'd beat them

It would have nice to have got it sorted before Tuesday ( Chelsea dropping points at Burnley and us winning today would have done that ) as I guess Klopp would have been planning to make changes for Stoke ( even more so if the game wasn't that important )

Exactly. And yet there are fans who insist that Gomez is the future of the club Please God, can neither of them be anywhere near the team on Tuesday.

Not helped by a referee who is absolutely awful; unless of course the rules changed this morning to allow punching and elbowing. All the evidence you need to understand why there are no English refs at the WC this summer - cos they are all *****/bent/corrupt.

Klopp keeps doing this move of inviting pressure by taking a forward off and chucking an extra CB on when defending a narrow lead.. It didn't work against Chelsea & Spurs and it didn't work today.

You did better than United last week. I'd say it was a point closer to the CL myself though

i'd say losing a 2 goal lead in the last ten minutes against the bottom team was two points dropped myself. i'd imagine i'm not alone in that opinion.

Mo Salah - PFA POTY

Though the awards ceremony was one of the most awful/cringeworthy things I have seen in a while. Lost a lot of impetus when the winner was revealed on Twitter 2 hours ago But that's OK - it's not as if he has a big game on Tuesday or anything
