We can but hope

Surely even this United team won't want to be the team City win the title against - though Mourinho leading a guard of honour after the game would be really funny

the 'guard of honour' tradition is usually reserved for the game after, when the teams come out, isn't it?

the sight of City celebrating on the Old Trafford pitch would be bad enough.

In some ways that makes it worse.

You might be right actually - "the 2nd best team in the League" will have to do it then the week after

Spurs if you believe the media

In a way, whilst it would be funny to see City win the title with Mourinho watching - it would actually be better for Liverpool if that game is a draw and then City will actually need to put an effort in, against Spurs, and take points off them too.

Went to the game today with my 2 boys. Salah worked his absolute ******** off all game, and got his reward. Fantastic performance.

What is it with us and lunch time kickoffs?

Played badly for the most part today but got away with it ( in part no thanks to Swarbrick's refusal to give us at least one penalty )

Still 3 points is 3 points

Mane was very lucky not to get sent off. Salah is class.

How on earth did it take Klopp so long to get Robertson in the side on a regular basis?

I thought Mane should have had a pen had the ref or lino actually seen that the defender had kicked his left and standing foot. Looked like he caught it hard enough to hurt and when it's your standing foot with your weight on it you would react in that way. Not easy to spot, but on the replays he clearly kicked his left foot, and not just 'contact' IMO.

I very good win considering Palace always make us work hard for it and we struggled with their organised defence and pace on the counter. Naive by Karius for their pen though, Zaha was never going to stay on his feet and knew he just needed to get a nudge on the ball, Karius was drawn in. I thought TAA struggled a little as well, a lot of potential there but still has some learning to do.

Apparently that was the first time in 20 years we have done the double over Palace. Can't be that long surely?

Just watched it on MOTD. Definite pen if he’d gone down straight away, but he seemed to think about it then throw himself to the ground 2 seconds later.

Don’t know what the ref was thinking with the handball though. Lucky to stay on the pitch for that and the dive IMO.

It was an obvious dive. Only decided to throw his leg back after he felt the contact on his foot, which remained planted until after the contact.

I'd guess Palace have spent a fair deal of time outside the PL in that time, so there's probably only been 5 chances in that time. I'd guess their woes were around the same time as Forest's late 90's, which is 20 years ago.

LOL.

You will struggle to see a more blatant penalty for a long time.

4 wins from a CL spot? Everton and Chelsea looking like the difficult games, well Everton probably not but it's a Derby. Also relies on Chelsea winning 6/6
