Not sure what you can possible take from that as not a bad result. We lost to United and all the teams around have won this weekend. Not sure it how could really have been any worse other than a heavier defeat.

He's an idiot. Shame really, because he's one of the few left who knows anything about the game.

It’s a pretty disgusting thing to do. On the pitch this is one of the worst things you can do to an opponent. How on earth has he been goaded by a fan? Fool.

Like you, think it would be a shame if that’s him done, he gives more insight in 10 seconds than the likes of Redknapp, Le Tissier and Souness have done in years - who are well past their sell by dates and should be binned.

Interesting to see what Sky do.

This was always a weekend where we were potentially going to lose ground on those around us.

We now have the potential to pick up 6 points before any of our rivals play again ( and with Spurs playing Chelsea next in the league )

WTF .... goes off to do some reading.

EDIT - there is no way he can stay with Sky ( and even in any ambassadorial role he had at the club ) after that

One of Chelsea and/or Spurs are dropping points in the next round of games so that should hopefully make the gap a bit bigger

He's apologised, maybe they'll do nothing on the basis that a group of people tried to get a reaction from him, filmed him hoping they'd get a reaction and got one. Surely everyone is happy?

That video of Carragher highlights a lot of things .... how close are the two vehicles?, what is the dad doing driving and filming at the same time ( that should be a driving ban at the very least )? but Carragher doesn't come out of that blameless in any way shape or form.

Apparently he has already been axed from his presenting slot on Danish TV's coverage of the United game tomorrow

It's a real "heads gone" moment, I like the guy generally but all this "he's a family man, has two young kids and does loads for charity" stuff this morning is irrelevant.

I'm a family man, I have two kids, don't do loads of charity work, but my instinct isn't to gob on someone as my initial reaction... plonker.

And after watching all those replays, I reckon you still think the ref got it wrong

It puts him on the same level as El Hadj Diouf now IMHO

No surprise that he has been suspended from Sky.

Dermot Gallagher reckons that ref got it right on the Valencia "handball" and the Mane/Fellaini challenge. Which was the third incident?

Dermot Gallagher sticking up for his mates shocker. The other one was the Salah challenge. On the basis of the Lamela and Calvert-Lewin penalties awarded against LFC recently, then they should have got at least two on Saturday.

I noticed that MoTD didn't either bother showing Valencia's high boot 'tackle'.

Nor the one that nearly took Sanchez head off.

FFS that's the worst possible draw. Would have preferred Barca

It certainly could have been a lot easier But, for me, Barcelona would have been worse.

Playing at home first could be advantageous - gives us the possibility IIRC of an extra 30 minutes to score what could be a crucial away goal.

The way the draw went you also don't have the luxury of knowing that, if you get through, one of the other big sides would be out.

Not saying it was a fixed draw but a lot of coincidences if it wasn't; the Spanish teams kept apart, the Italian teams kept apart and the English sides the last two out of the pot

Given that we always struggle at Anfield, you've got to be reasonably confident of a fighting chance?

Nice run of fixtures

4th April Liverpool v City
7th April City v United
8th April Everton v Liverpool
10th April City v Liverpool

Liverpool's game against Everton has been bought forward to 12:30 on the Saturday.

At while we are having the crap kicked out of us, by the Bluenoses, United will be doing the same to you in trying to stop you winning the title.
