I suppose you're expected to give your all, collectively across the world people have paid a lot for the rights to show that game, you probably have to play a decent team (the CL squad isn't massive either) or get in trouble. It isn't the Johnstone Paint Trophy afterall

Not making 10/11 changes is understandable but 2/3 doesn't leave a lot of room for manoeuvre ie still leaves a lot of players, you would ideally rest, taking part.

Maybe he thinks we got lucky in the 1st leg or thinks we might put in another WBA type performance

Gulp.

That 5 goal lead looks a little less secure now

Porto are a joke, they've not even given it a go

No need for us to, we're 5-0 up already

You should have gone in for the kill and scare the other teams too.

You don't think winning 5-0 in the away leg already did that?

No we should have given players like Salah a rest

Other than giving Mane a bit of a rest, I have no idea why we bought Salah on with just 15 minutes to go.

An unnecessary risk IMHO.

I don't envisage any 5-0 wins, for the away side, in the 6 remaining Last 16 ties.

LOL

Apparently Mohamed Salah is just 25 goals away from equalling Everton legend Duncan Ferguson’s entire Everton goalscoring career

I hadn't realised that Druncan had scored that many

FFS ... what I'd give for LFC to have even a tiny fraction of the luck and 'poor' refereeing decisions that Spurs have had this season

The Spurs v Juventus match was pretty even for poor decisions imo. The lesson is not to give an Italian them a lead late on, because they know how to time waste and draw fouls with the best of them.

True.

But the turning point was arguably the abject failure of 3 officials, all with a clear view of the incident, to award the most blatant penalty you will ever see and what should have been a booking for Vertonghen ( which would mean he would have been off for two yellows before HT )

With their cheating past recently, I was half expecting that effort from a blatantly offside Kane to go in at the end.

I would actually quite fancy our chances with Salah/Mane/Firmino against that Juve defence.
