It might be because I've got a terrible head cold, but that finale did absolutely nothing for me after a generally great season. Gotta leave something for seasons 2-5 I guess...

Enjoyed Christian's rant though. He always gives good rant.

& I can see why they held off showing it last week.

Just watched it & I'm equally disappointed. First poor episode of an otherwise faultless, fantastic season. It felt like the plot just stalled & needed to leave something for the next series. Nice touch incorporating the recent Ashley Madison story into the opening scene.

I thought it was a great episode. Everything kicking off, with us (and Elliott) having no clue what had gone on.

Personally the previous couple of episodes had been a bit dull in my eyes. Other than Tyrell going mental.

Just seemed like a lot of padding in the finale to me. Lots of music playing over scenes where people just look around or mashing together stock footage of the G7/G8 members. Personally I think they should have kept his drug meltdown for this episode as it'd make much more sense giving everything that was happening around him. And I agree with others, why didn't they explain his blackout for the cliffhanger!? I'm guessing

Did like the scene between Elliot and Tyrells bird though... mainly because the tone of it was like something plucked straight out of Under The Skin!

Wouldn't kick her out of bed, but yeah, too much work imo.

It looks like they were inspired by Budd Dwyer for that scene.

Just picked up on this after someone recommended I check it out. Impressed with the tech element which does seem at least partially authentic. I'm up to ep 6 and still can't get over how Elliot looks like he's being given a wedgie all the time.

Fascinating stuff so far. I'm wondering if Mr Robot and all his gang are figments of his imagination. Keen to watch more!

Just finished - very good. Shame the tech stuff fell away a little, but it's replaced with a dose of madness.

I must admit the whole significance of that video completely escapes me, surely the moment they revealed Mr. Robot was a figment of his imagination it was blatantly obvious that he threw himself off the boardwalk? Is there something else in the videoclip I'm missing?

No idea. It was fairly obvious he jumped off himself. Plus they showed the same video above in the last episode to make it even more obvious.

Well nothing much happened plot wise but it was still great viewing. I was waiting all episode for the flashback that never happened! Thank God the normal US television series has started so there's other stuff too watch until this comes back!

I took it as the proof to Elliot that he was imagining the whole Mr Robot thing. Up until then, although we all knew, it was impossible to confirm what we suspected.

Reading about motives elsewhere one good point made was that with the data all now encrypted, the writers have the ability to give a character the decryption key. Money's on Tyrell having changed the malware to pop the key out for him. Using that he can get back into the Evil Corp good books.

Also, I personally loved that CEO. Initially, you just saw him as a bumbling unsure executive, but he didn't get where he was by being a fool and that sort of leaked in the last scene. Angela had better watch herself.

Got a bit weird towards the end. Loved the first few episodes. I hope it doesn't just go totally bonkers in season 2

Does it going on Amazon Prime mean it won't be on terrestrial channels?

Maybe: A tech based paranoia trip?

It's actually difficult to lock down without giving too much away.

this is the summary from TVDB:

The show follows Elliot, who is a cyber-security tech by day and vigilante hacker by night. He has used his hacking skills for justice and to protect those he cares about, but has problems connecting to people in the real world due to social anxiety. He strongly believes that the world is being ruled by the 1% of the 1% and, that using money and debt, they have enslaved mankind and he wishes desperately to change this. He is recruited by the head of a highly secret hacking group to take down the corporation he is being paid to protect with the hope of erasing 70% of all the debt in the world. He has had delusions in the past and sees a therapist who tries to help him and takes medication for it, but in the end he is unsure what is real and what is not, and so are we as we experience everything from his perspective.
