Definitely agree about Fincher comments. One of the highest standard pilots I've ever seen, felt like a movie pretty much! Also getting a slight Watch Dogs vibe from it as well.

It does feel a little cheesy at times though, like it's pandering to your average teenage anonymous/illuminati activist rebelling against society.

Will be interesting to see how it holds up. I gather each episode will be about removing one of the "top 1% of the %1", but there's certainly room to expand on that.

Second episode retained the look & feel despite losing the pilot's director, so fingers-crossed it keeps the quality going.

Liked the WTF?!? moment towards the end of ep2...

No. It's E Corp, but in the first episode you see Elliot mentally view them as Evil Corp and from then on that's how the show presents them to you.

New head boss ( Tech Savvy bloke ) of E Corp actually called them Evil Corp himself to Elliot or was that just how Elliot hears them now ( in his head )?.

Correct. Elliot hears and sees it as Evil Corp so we do too.

Very impressed by this. I know it's sourcing a lot of ideas from elsewhere (Fight Club, anyone?) but it's delivering them in a wholly magnetic fashion.

Plus it's got Christian Slater on form!

Yes he spoke to the two guys in the F-Society hideout to check some techno jargon or other. I thought I remembered the girl talk to him in the first episode too.

Ah, I must have missed that. I wasn't sure if the girl was talking to Mr Robot, or Elliot.

Anyone else hear the Atari 2600 version of Pac Man in the arcade? Most overused sound clip since "The Wilhelm Scream", it must a deliberate in joke by Foley artists like the Wilhelm has been all these years.

Here is the sound in question, its most famously used in Superman 3 but you'll here almost everrytime someones playing a game in TV/movies, at least you did till lately but now its back

I am absolutely loving this. It's got the kind of dark menace that true detective had, can't wait to see how it pans out.

This show is going from strength to strength now. Each episode has had a very different tone and each tone is adding to a very dark symphony.

Just when we thought Elliot was the most messed up person in the show we get a look at Tyrell. In fact all the surrounding characters, apart from the other members of fsociety, get fleshed out a bit in this episode.

I'm still not convinced anyone other than Elliot is seeing Mr Robot. It may be a misdirect to mess with the viewers, but I'm ok with it turning out either way.

Gotta admire the levels they go to in order to make the hacking seem authentic - the American psycho Scandinavian guy root the phone, rebooted it and then gave whatever he installed Superuser access. Really nice touch.

But yeah, this was an episode to flesh out the cast a bit more. Still really enjoying it.

I'm with you on this. In the bar scene with the Appletinis the barman doesn't appear to acknowledge Mr Robot, despite him speaking directly to him.

I also thought it odd that Mr Robot could walk into Elliot's workplace and sit at his desk without anyone saying anything. It's supposed to be a top notch computer security operation.

And that no-one seemed to react when he grabbed Robot by the lapels. They just glanced up like he was talking to himself again...

Another good episode this week & I'm now 99% convinced that Slater is a mental projection. I especially like that they are taking their time & fleshing out the characters, especially the Big Bad this week... Yikes!
