Nothing for Dec so thats £75 for the year on 15k , RUBBISH - .5% return i think, half what one would "expect"

I'm brand new to these and just put in £2500 last month. Is that enough to make a bit of extra cash? Also do you automatically get told if you win some money or do I need to be logging in to find out?

You'll get a cheque in the post by default I think, but you can opt to have any wins reinvested.

There's an app which lets you check the result immediately

Nothing this month for me, winnings have dried up with nothing since August on £6k invested. Still just ahead of the average rate for the year though.

Enter your number into the website (no need to login) or wait till you get a letter (and ridiculously a printout of *all* your bond numbers).

Expected return will be <=1%, with a miniscule chance of the BIG ONE ! And you've timed it badly cos the returns have just been reduced this year ...

April = 0
May = £50
June = 0

August = £25
September = 0
October = £25, £25

2014 off to a better start with £25.

The web checker appears borked but Android is working.

Just a word of warning.

I've just tried to make a partial withdrawal from my Bonds balance online. I was confronted with a security question to which I couldn't supply an answer as I have never known the answer. Consequently I've been locked out. Call them up & all they can offer is to post a new temporary password. So the withdrawal will now be too late for my needs. Can't withdraw over the phone because "Computer says no."

Really ****** off & will be clearing the account as soon as the new password arrives.
