Sorry, the whole "they're/their/there" thing just really bothers me.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but this thread seems appropriate.

Fans of Predator may be interested to know that specialist soundtrack label Intrada have today re-issued Alan Silvestri's awesome score in a 3000 copy limited edition.

Get it while it lasts!

I got the ultimate edition from play cheap using their 20% off code. Apart from those early waxy shots of Arnie, Carl Weathers etc (which amount to only about a minute of footage) it mostly looks very nice. I was planning to hold onto the old BD disc but after swapping them out to compare I reckon I'd only ever end up watching the newer disc. So I'll probably stick the old one on fleabay. It's easy to get carried away with a few screengrabs isn't it.

It is easy to get carried away. Having compared both though the new release is ridiculous. It's always looked grainy, so just leave it like that!

It didn't always look grainy, the two disc DVD was quite soft looking. Obviously ones personal taste comes into it, and if you love the look of grain the earlier Predator Blu-ray disc is probably the ultimate grain lovers disc, as I can't think of another film on Blu-ray I own that has as much grain as it does in places.

DVD does not have enough resolution to show grain properly which is why there are people moaning about the blu ray. The grain on the DVD is more pixelated/blocky.

Screenshots also freeze the grain and is different when in motion as it moves about.

The UHE is unpleasant to watch throughout with the smooth skins of the actors and the contrast is a bit too high.

All a bit confused...I wanted to buy all 3 of the Predator movies on Blu-Ray!

Which are the best versions to go for? I have a UK locked player!

Are these the best to go for? (Ideally uncut and tip top picture)

Predators Trilogy

I am also looking for the AVP films...the completist in me requires them.

Again, both movies should ideally be uncut and have a nice picture!

AVP

Thankyou in advance
