Windows Home Server / Windows 7 - temporary loss of access to random shared folders?

I've been running WHS for a week or so - it's all pretty good 90% of the time however one problem that is now beginning to become infuriating is that I'll suddenly not have permission to access shares for no apparent reason.

I can be using them fine one minute and then the next one of the shares will stop being available for a temporary period. If I go set up a new share on the same folder with a different share name, I'll be able to access fine.

I've checked my permissions are all correct and I even have tried allowing 'Everyone' full access to the shares, but they still throw the 'You do not have permission to access' error box. I'll still be able to access all of the other shares with no problem. It's seemingly random on the share too which is also very strange.

Shares on my other Win 2k8 server are fine - no issues at all with accessing them 100% of the time.

Anyone seen this or have any suggestions?

Colin at first I thought it was a similar problem to what I have been having I have been trying to connect to shared folders wirelessly from my laptop on Win 7 at first everything was ok then intermittant connections started but it was the laptop failing to connect to the folders or see them ? But the terminal connection would work !

I joined the we got served forum but got very little feedback on the problem and when I did it was way to complicated jargon most users seem to be seasoned networker's.

Perhaps we could do with a sticky on this forum for WHS problems ?

The laptop had Zonealarm Pro Firewall running before I installed the client connection software so I allowed all the connections it asked for.
I uninstalled ZA in desperation and the problem disapeared

If there is enough call for it then I'd be happy to add a sticky.

No firewall problems here - disabled at both ends to test and still had the problem. I'm totally stumped by it at the moment

I can't see anything relating to that in there. Which log would it be in?
