I wonder why there is no journalist credited with the article.

I like the crap tag under the picture:

But virtually my first thought when I saw it in HMV on Monday was "The Daily Mail are going to love this" so it's not a surprise really.

I suppose that there is actually a valid point in there somewhere though - if a programme is funded by the licence fee then surely licence fee payers should see it first (for free)? You shouldn't have to a pay extra in order to do so. It's certainly a practice that could easily get out of hand.

As I said earlier in the thread - in this current climate of BBC bashing by the media I really don't think they help themselves sometimes.

It's not a patch on the first two seasons but still funnier than much of what's on telly at the moment. Then again, John Prescott is in a later episode so I reserve the right to come back and change my mind.

There's already a 100-posts thread about it on the Digitalspy forums.

I'm not really bothered. Why not just watch and then buy after Christmas? I guess they wanted the DVD under people's trees by Christmas morning. Plus DM Outrage = free publicity for the BBC. I notice they've already got an all 3 series (plus Crimbo special) boxset out as well.

Didn't the 'Life' dvd come out two weeks before the end of the series as well.

The BBC obviously want to maximize sales and seeing as profits go back into making shows i don't see the problem.

Good solid episode tonight, nice combination of daftness and serious stuff.

Stacy was looking well TIDY!

Yeah, it was much better. The best so far I think, especially Bryn getting drunk. Stacey was looking very foxy in that little dress!

The episode to be aired on Xmas day is a cracker of an episode (No pun intended!)

They're firmly into caricature and catchprase land now aren't they. Even brydon wasn't that entertaining last night.

I watched the DVD. Its a bit boring now tbh, like its trying to be more mainstream as its on bbc1, its like the english actress who was gorgeous and perfectly fine as she was but went to hollywood and lost 2 stone and had botox and a lip op.

It used to be a caricature of itself, now its lost that, only bryn keeps it gong, nessa annoys me and its like its trying to hard.

Not particularly enjoying this series. Worn out and should have been put to bed after S2.

It's a bit ridiculous the methods they have to employ each week to get one half of the cast across the country to see the other half.

Enjoying the show, but glad it's ending now on a relative high.
