Watched on Blu-Ray and thoroughly enjoyed it. Was surprised watching the extras to find that Andrew Lincoln was British - a very convincing US Sheriff.

How old are you? Don't you remember Cold Feet?

I agree though - great accent.

I think you mean This Life

Personally I never saw that, but used to love Teachers (before it went rubbish).

I stand corrected.

In my defense, I'm too young to really remember This Life.

I caught those web episodes and thought they were absolutley dire. Like a trainee working on the series stole a camera and the effects guys and got his mate's parents to act in them. It was all so student-y.

I really hope the series proper amps up the game again.

Old enough to remember "This Life" being on, sane enough to avoid it like the plague. Never heard of Andrew Lincoln before, quick google reveals that he has been in plenty of stuff (none of which I have seen though).

This Life was on when i was in college so it was unmissable viewing. I remember watching it in the campus pub one night and when it showed Ferdy shagging the scottish bloke the whole place went mental. Acceptance didnt exist in Waterford in 1999

So just under a weeks difference from the U.S?

This along with Fringe, an attempt to limit piracy or just because the stations have paid a bit more to get them quickly?

An attempt to limit piracy and an attempt to give subscribers value for money by getting new seasons asap. The faster they buy in what people want to watch the more likely people are to pay for Sky etc.

Just watched the first season. 6 episodes? Wtf? I seriously thought I was missing a disc from the set.

I went in with high hopes and came out a bit disappointed. The lead actor is good but the rest are bloody awful. You have a whole series to get your audience to feel sorry for the survivors and they couldn’t manage it. I hope the wife dies a brutal death in the first 5 minutes of the second season along with everyone else. New writers and cast please!

finally finished watching this on US BD - really enjoyed it, although I do agree some of the plotting and acting could have been a bit better.
mind you anything with someone being pickaxed repeatedly in the head through a split gory skull on a TV show can't be bad!
I too found the last episode felt a bit bleak (but good bleak) so will be intrigued to know where it goes in S2. any news on a date for release for S2 yet? (prob won't go for the zombie head special edition! )

I'm tired of waiting for an uncut version of Season 1 to be released on this side of the pond, does anyone know if this 3 disc US import blu-ray will work on a PS3 - it says in the description it's Region A/1, is this accurate?

That set is region A locked I'm afraid, as is the 2 disc US release of Season 1.
