I've not seen the ep in question but it sounds like all those other series where you shout 'Pick up the dead guy's gun!!!!" at the screen.
is what bugged me, throughout the series they've made a big deal about the value of weapons then walk through an area littered with them without doing anything, will watch again as I didn't really pick up on them being quiet, it looked to me like a lot of bodies with headshots....

Maybe they think they are armed enough? As I mentioned previously, it is easier for the untrained person to use a hunting rifle or a shotgun than it is an M16 or whatever.

LOL at all the gun experts.

If this really happened we would be holed up in our houses, crying to the forums and facebook and waiting to die. Except Vodka, he'd be either trying to understand the zombies or looking for a naked one.

Is it still considered necrophilia if they're dead/undead but still wriggling?(albeit in a trying to eat you kind of way)

This is in America! I've known quite a few Americans and I don't know a single one who hasn't at least fired a gun at a range.
In the UK I only know one person who's done the same.

And the main character's a cop trained with fire arms!

Seriously - they faced terrible danger to retrieve one bag of guns, they had an encounter where the demand for guns nearly got them all killed and now they walk past a bunch and ignore them?

The films and series I've admired have been where the characters are one step ahead of me (example - Bourne ripping the map off the wall to find his way around that Embassy). You see the character do it and go "Oh yeah!". The series that **** me off is where you see the character do something dumb and you know its being done because the plot demands it.

They were more interested in getting into the CDC though, so they probably figured either they didn't need more weaponry where they were headed or that they could leave the guns for now and do individual "incognito" runs for them at a later date. If you don't know for sure that the body lying on the floor is walker or not, you're not going to risk leaning over it to try and get its weapon. Not that I don't think this season has been full of silly contrivances, especially when it comes to Americans having trouble scavenging guns in a land that contains more guns than people/zombies, but I didn't have a problem accepting the logic behind their actions as they headed towards the CDC.

He says "i'm off" as Rick is ushered into the RV to talk with Jim, and once that conversation between Rick and Jim is over it cuts to everyone (Shane included) discussing what to do next outside the RV. The section with the CDC guy isn't until after they're already back on the road.
Man, I totally blanked the whole Jim deciding to die by himself thing! Probably because all I could think about whenever the actor playing Jim spoke was how much he sounded like Tim Olyphant!

Im loving how gory the show is. Cant believe some of the stuff they are getting away with on a non HBO/SHOWTIME/STARZ channel.

Pickaxe to the head and some of that munching is Day Of The Dead worthy

I can recall one gory bit in Breaking Bad ( the bath/acid scene ) and that was more funny than anything else.

Yeah but fans of Breaking Bad have to make the show better in their heads than any other show in any other department! It has more swearing than Deadwood, more flange than Boardwalk Empire, more edginess than The Wire, etc, etc

Hardly I'm not saying BB is more gory, it's more uncomfortable. TWD isn't that gory, that's all. Maybe the pickaxe through the head, but that's about it.

They covered themselves in guts during episode 2. That's pretty gory.

So what? It's still better than Boardwalk Empire IMO. Adult only content is no indicator of quality.

My three favourite new shows this year have been Terriers, Rubicon and this, and they're all on cable networks which limit content.
