I'm loving this apart from one thing.... the actor who plays Shane is utterly terrible. He barely scraped through dealing with the acting required in "The Class", how he got in this is a mystery.

Spoiler about the mechanics of zombies in Romero's milieu:

I predict this series departing more and more from the comic storyline until the writers realise they've written themselves into a corner, the viewers get bored and it gets canned.
The comic's run for so many eps for a reason - it's a great story and one that could easily work in a TV series (if they had the guts to make it). Departing from that story is dumb.

The zombies in Night Of The Living Dead used tools to. Little daughter killing her mother with a trowel anyone? The rules have always been messed with.

I'm not saying why, but running, climbing, tool using zombies will seriously screw with later storylines.

My money's on the zombies getting more and more disheveled and decomposed as the show goes on. Leading to them not being able to climb, run etc.

Jesus ******* christ - just how difficult is it to understand? NO hints at future story lines. We get it - you have read the comic books - you are cool. Stop ******* telling us. *****.

I paticularly like the spoilery hints before the spoiler text.

Brilliant.

Loved this episode; desperate to speak with a workmate about it but he's waiting the extra few days to watch it on FX. Grrrr!!

Chill Lou. Nothing of what i said has anything to do with the comic. If it was id hardly be speculating.

And as for being cool having read the comic. Please.

Out of a matter of interest, where are the people who have both read the comics and are watching the tv show meant to discuss it?

Makes sense to discuss it in the comic thread surely, as you know what is going to happen already and how it will differ from the source material.

Frankly, I don't care how it is different, but people who keep hinting at what happens later on in the tv series, are doing my nut in. There's no need for it.

But then people who have read the comic but not watched the series yet will be complaining

As long as people stick to spoiler tags and clearly label that the spoilers are about the comics I don't see the problem

Oh FFS! I'm talking about Romero's films. Is that hard to understand? It's in the ******* text BEFORE the spoiler.
Guess what - this is a zombie film - there's going to be peril at some point. Get over it and grow up.

Somewhere that doesn't have '....& no spoilers from the comic please' in the thread title.
