Edit

Is this the 1st Edition to read?

The Walking Dead Book 1: Bk. 1 [Hardcover]
Or this one if you want it cheap:
Compendium

DO NOT CLICK THAT LINK IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS!
The covers of the collections often have spoilers on them. One of the paperback covers has a MAJOR spoiler on it that ruined a section for me.

Edit: Someone posted a link where you could read the first few on line too. That might be a better idea.

This thread is looking more like a CIA document by the minute.

Not only are the book spoilers extraneous to the thread, it's also amazing how people aren't grasping how such of a spoiler their non-spoilered comments are. For instance, look at posts #387, #388 and #391 to demonstrate how someone can figure out exactly what's in the spoilers without ever reading them.

Posts #398, #406, #409, #410 and #411 all drive the point home just in case anyone missed it the first time. Poor show guys.

Regarding the show itself, I think the third episode has been the best by far.

I thought the third episode was pretty good lots of tension and drama. How anyone could think it was boring is beyond me.

I liked the second ep, but they're really messing with the storyline. The zombie's actions are heading towards 'running' and thinking a bit too much for my liking. I could see it developing into a modern take on the zombie genre (DotD remake) and departing entirely from the original story at this rate.

Yeah, I am now in the habit of switching over as soon as the first line of credits come up. I have a feeling BSG used to show some spoilers in the opening credits (not in a 'coming up next' way).

Back on to the show, why not saw through pipe or chain rather than own bone?

It would take a lot longer, and redneck hick didn't know how securely the door was locked.

The saw probably wasn't up to cutting through steel. Also remember the walkers were at the chained up door so time was an issue, at least as far as he was concerned.

But where did he go? Did he jump to his death, rather than be eaten alive? Guess I'll have to wait 'til ep. 4 to find out.

This really is a great show and I recently read the first two comics and could not believe how close they were to the episodes. I won't be reading the next four as I don't want to spoil it for myself.

I'm really pleased it will get a second season and give the characters a chance to grow. Good stuff

Re: The Walking Dead (u.s. pace & no spoilers from the comic please)

Well I've watched the first three, its not bad but I'm finding it a little slow I'm places. I've backtracked through this thread and will now be complaining to Tapatalk! It can't handle the spoiler tags.

I'll keep watching, its one of the better shows on at the moment.
