I was surprised not to see 1 ad break, pleasantly so. Absolutely loved it, and his American accent is spot on, can't usually watch obvious put on accents, but his never faltered.

Do we know how many episodes there are in this first series?

Great show, couldn’t really fault it.

I actually thought the show was less gruesome than I was expecting – probably because that was one of the big talking points beforehand.

It’s not that it wasn’t gory, but I guess the gore was what you’d expect with the theme of the show - once you've seen one zombie shot through the head, you've seen them all. In honesty, when they attacked the horse, for example, I was expecting something a bit more traumatic but it was just a case of it being pulled into the crowd. Same thing when we went to work with a baseball bat.

Would have been interesting if they’d left the wife/kid’s fate a mystery – but at least it shows we won’t have that side issue dragging on too long like other US shows (judging from the ad for the next ep)

Headshots a gogo!

Loads of differences from the comic in this ep.

Michael Rooker as Merle : Portrait of a redneck

Hot doc on all 4's.

Rarrr!

This show rocks.

It can say what it wants in the title, my point is nothing in the second episode has been spoiled. Rooker's name is in the credits, so that can't have been a shock, if that is what you are referring to.

I just presumed the US was further along than the UK, so was expecting all kinds of fun-sucking.

Ahhh only 4 days between us! Would be nice if people used common-sense and didn't spoil anything before friday.

That will never happen. I refer to things obliquely, but if its a proper spoiler ill tag it as such.

Since no one has answered you - there are 6 episodes in this season, with no confirmed second season just yet [though its surely a matter of time for it]

Be intrigued to see the ratings for the second episode and if theres a sizable drop from the premiere

I can't wait for episode 6 to air so I can sit down and binge watch this in a couple of sittings.

I read hardback book 6 in one sitting last night...I couldn't tear my eyes away from it.

This series is highly cliqued so far, but so good as well. It really makes a welcome change to the usual rubbish on TV. Why is the good American stuff SO good?

The thing with this is it simply HAS to start off as atypical Zombie fare, it starts to get interesting when we start going past the point movies traditionally end.....

Would love to start reading these. Any good e-book/comic versions or is it old fashioned print only?

Buy the Hardcover releases from Amazon: -

(affiliate link not working )

It's just not the same reading these electronically.

They're available on the Comixology and Image apps for iDevices.

Cheapest option is to get the Compendium though. It contains the first 48 issues (equivalent of the first four hardcovers or eight paperbacks).
