Question Bones *Sky-Pace Spoilers Only*

Another US tv pilot has appeared online (if u know where to look), the details are as follows...

BONES (FOX) - Emily Deschanel ("Boogeyman") has scored the lead role in the drama pilot, about a team of forensic anthropologists who solve crimes using evidence supplied by skeletal remains. She’ll play Temperance Brennan, the leader of said team in the 20th Century Fox Television-based project. David Boreanaz and Michaela Conlin also star in the pilot, which comes from executive producers Barry Josephson and Hart Hanson and is based on the "Brennan" novels by Kathy Reichs.

I've read several of Kathy Reichs novels & quite enjoyed them, so looking forward to this, despite it probably being another CSI rip-off.

...Oh & so much for Boreanaz's "movie" career after Angel. Didnt take him long to return to Tv.

Isn't "angel" a TV series for gays?

Just watched it ... Hmmm, it was ok ... some interesting bone-forensic work although their holographic projector system is a bit OTT ..... Definitely a departure from the novels, regarding Temperance's character ... I certainly didnt visualise her to be that good looking and as young as she is in the show. Boreanaz was fine, but it's going to take some time before you can picture him as anyone other than Angel.

From the thread title, it briefly crossed my mind that Deforest Kelly out of Star Trek had his own a spin-off show.

in the books she's meant to be mid to late 30's I assume as she has a daughter at college who seems to be about 19 or 20

god, they'll be doing Patricia Cornwell stuff for TV next!

I watched episode 1 last night. Fairly unspectacular, but might become something worth while.

Watched the first episode and thought it was terrible. Won't be bothering with any of the other episodes.

Agree about the first episode of Prison Break (and Supernatural for that matter) being a lot better.

Gave up after twenty minutes - the chemistry and interplay between Dave B and the Deschanel sister was really good, but the plot (Missing female political intern), the techno-jargon, the geeks and the forensics were all cliched rubbish that has been done to death in far better shows like CSI...

Supernatural was good tho'....

I found it poor too. Going by the general feel of other comments here its likely to be cancelled quicker than you can say "Point Pleasant" or "Hawaii".

Huge thumbs up for Prison Break though

Is the first episode 'proper' the same as the leaked pilot which did the rounds a while back?

There was an unaired pilot. Didn't see it, I saw what premiered on TV the other night.
