As long as a skinny white dude blacks up, it's all good.

Good ol Fisher Stevens, I honestly never realised until years later that it was him all blacked up to look like an Indian

Well I say..... hell yeah. I want to see what they could do now days but ONLY if they make a real robot. If any part of it at all is CG they should completely kill themselves for being uncreative hacks.
If I was to attempt to state in text form just how ****** off I would be if they use CG..... my inner child would be burning upon a wooden raft as it drifted away off into a freezing Arctic sea, a crying gold robot figure standing by him within the wall of flame.

There is no point. Wall-E will have a million times more character and heart than this (or indeed the original) will ever have. This is just silly nostalgia nonsense (see also: Transformers.)

Wall-E's mother was a snow-blower.

They could make it much more interesting if they updated Johnny 5 with a T-1000.

.... so what. I'm probably not going to be watching Wall-E on loop for the rest of my life. Maybe gonna want to see other movies at some point.
