Have you had trouble as a result of a social networking service?

Hi

Small favour: I'm working on a piece that's looking at the downside of social networking, and am looking to get in touch with people who have had problems with such services. These include:

* Companies whose workers' output has reduced
* Being scammed as a result of personal information being posted
* Addiction
* Personal problems (eg people taking objection to a comment/photo)

If you can help, and don't mind your name in print, then can you drop me a line to my forum e-mail address.

Thanks for your help!

Simon

I got bitten by a vampire and had some fruit thrown at me. On the upside someone bought me a pint.

Sorry.

there is a big facebook thread in the general forum.

I've had no issues - well apart from it being addictive. I delete any rude comments on my page (which is set to mates only anyway) and make sure i only have pictures of me fully dressed (some people at work have them in their bikinis on their )

i always detag any pic of me anyway

I recently implemented a web filtering service at a client only allowing them access to work related sites they needed for their job and average internet usage went down from 3 hours a day (mostly to social networking sites) to less than 30 mins so times that by 250 users and you looking at 78 man days per day recovered.

Dont know whether they any more producutve or not as a result no real way to asess that until the company profits come in I guess and compare that to potentially people leaving to find a cushier number where they can browse all day rather than work lol
