newbie question on dvd hd.

this product seems to just playback regular dvds in a higher rate to play on a hd tv ,am i right in this.
i saw the same item on ebay in a multi region model for 80quid.
can sombody shed some light on true high def dvd player for me as i ordered matrix and fifth element from dvdsoon in america.

The player you linked to upscales regular DVDs, it does not make them hi-def. It won't play HD-DVDs either. There have been no true hi-def players released in this country yet.

If you've ordered from DVD Soon then I suggest you check out the thread in the suppliers forum about them.
