Charlton in the UEFA Cup ??

Charlton will find out on June 8th if they are to play in next seasons UEFA cup. That's when the draw for the Fair Play places take place.

Sweden (Osters F.C) won the fair play league but the other 2 places will be drawn from 11 possible entrants.

Man City and Ipswich have both qualified recently

And I'd expect them to last about as long as the other two did.

Charlton have missed out on next season's Uefa Cup after the Fair Play League draw in Germany.
The Addicks went into a draw with 11 other teams for the remaining two places in the competition.

But Armenian side FC Mika, plus a team from Ukraine, to be decided on 19 June when the season ends, were the winners.

Charlton missed out on Europe via the Premiership, but finished third in the discipline-based rankings for England, behind winners Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, with both of those clubs having already secured a place in the Champions League, Charlton went forward as the Football Association's representatives.

It's a good job Millwall got in, and by such a tough path as well.

Yeah i posted it in the arsenal thread a while back.

Nice to see the story about Arsenal winning the fair play league all over the back pages constantly, the story never seems to be off the telly either - you just can't escape it. All this pro Arsenal media bias really is unfair isn't it????

The fans also won a fair play prize too, so we actually did the double.

Also, England is one of the highest placed countries in Europe in terms of fair play ranking - so Arsenal won the fair play league in a country very fair to start with - that makes Arsenal incredibly positive, disciplied and good spirited - they really are rubbing it in aren't they???

I can't believe Arsenal won the fair play league, the referee's are obviously being far too lienient with them if that's the case. Do bans given after the match count? Because that stuff at Old Trafford was something you'd expect from the worst team not the best.

Stop moaning - people like you wanted Arsenal to improve their disclipine and fair play - the lack of disclpline was something Wenger took quite a lot of criticism for, and although the media exagerated the problem, there was certianly a problem, especially with cards.

Wenger goes and sorts out the problem and makes Arsenal officially one of the best behaved, respectful and fairest clubs in Europe and you still aren't happy. You just moan and blame anyone you can think of.

The fans also got a trophy for fairness, good spirit and behaviour. Who's fault is that? Perhaps it was caused by Sadam Hussain and Elvis conspiracy? Maybe the man on the moon bribed all the other teams just so Arsenal could win the league. Or maybe, just maybe, Arsenal have the best team in the country, the best fair play record and the most respectful and well behaved fans in the country?

You do sound very bitter - who do you support? Surely must be Man U or Spurs

It's not hard to be well behaved when you sit in complete silence.

Cantona was pretty quiet most of the time but even FBI wouldn't try to pretend he was well behaved.

(though I expect if Arsenal fans were noiser he or camaj would moan about that too and say they should be banned for not keeping it down).

I'm not bitter. Can you honestly say that the team that behaved in such an appaling way at OT can truely be the fairest team in the premiership? And I think most fans would agree than Arsenal get away with a lot of ill disipline

Not a particularly helpful or intelligent comment here. I'm no Arsenal fan, but that is a little out of order, smiley face or no smiley face.

Shame you had to turn it into a personal attack and get yourself booked for it though.

In the GF, posting what you did would probably be seen as trolling and not friendly rivalry.

a personal attack?

lol - OK then. And as for trolling - well take a look at my past posts, I'm not a troll and it wasn't on the general forum and it wasn't to anyone in particular. I'm astounded that someone into football could possibly get offended by that - but whatever. Your rules, as you say.

No of course not

Keep digging that hole. Who do you support by the way?

edit - just did a search, he supports Bolton. They haven't exactly been the fair play champions this year have they?
