Why does Beckham get advice from a Sci-Fi magazine?

So is this all turning into a bidding war or is United "only" gonna get £30M regardless of who Becks decide to sign for?

It'll be a bidding war, with bids likely starting around the £20 million mark. It'll end up around £30 million.

I'd settle for £10m and Shevchenko.

In a totally unrelated story to this thread, Valencia have offered £25 million to Juventus for David Trezequet

I hope Real win the auction. I'll take Raul and Figo for Becks

Has to be but I can't see him at OT next year even if he agrees to something. The only way he would stay is if the player we get offered in a cash plus player deal, and let's face it no one has £30m in their pocket, is not to Fergie / the Board's liking. I therefore predict:

Milan: Shevchenko
Madrid: Figo (not 100% happy, old man plus mate of Carlos's)
Barce: Kluivert

All would have no more than a years impact that would be insufficient for the CL. Becks on the otherhand will prove useful and influencial for another 5 years (he is very fit and determined). I agree that we have succeeded without him in the team but I for one do not want him to leave

However, if he does go then I hope it stimulates a much larger exchange of players in both directions. That would add flavour to the English game and also imporve our International experience, or in real terms maybe help our players to have some confidence. Thinking of Owen, Ferdinand, Robinson, Dyer, Vassell, Ashely Cole, Joe Cole, Sinclair - the list goes on.

Only a years impact, sorry mate but WTF are you on about!

Isn't both Shevchenko and Kluivert only in their mid twenties?

For cash plus Shevchenko, I'd get rid of that bi-sexual superstar muppet anyday...

I dissagree with Shevchenko only have a years impact in the CL.

He's only 27

In the right team he will do well in the CL.
Here's some background on him

EDIT

Of course that right team is milan and he's going nowhere,.........................

right

Not an age thing - more of an issue over their quality.

Many will disagree but that's my opinion.
