Best Special Effects Laden DVD's?

Looking at my collection, and towards my future home theatre system, I need some cool high budget special effects laden blockbusters. Anyone help name some or even alot?

I currently have:

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring
Jurassic Park
Terminator 2
Planet of the Apes (2001)
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
Dinosaur
The Mummy
The Mummy Returns
Titanic
Bicentennial Man
Men In Black
Blade
Blade II
All 9 Trek Films
The Matrix
X-Men
Gladiator
Tomb Raider
Pearl Harbor

And one or two others that I would consider a good home theatre movie DVD package. I want DVD's that will give the ol' sub a good pounding and DVD's that are sfx laden enough to be a brilliant showcase for the picture quality.

You're missing Swordfish. OK, it's an average thriller - but the first 10 mins (and to be fair, some of the later scenes) give your whole kit a work out.

Toy Story 2 is the absolute pinnacle of picture quality and never fails to impress.

Saving Private Ryan will give the old sub something to chew on, and Speed (DTS) also is an all round good show.

Actually got TS2, Shrek, A Bug's Life, Monster's Inc (big fan of Pixar and PDI). Also got Saving Private Ryan (but didnt really think it was sfx laden)
Didnt like Swordfish (cant stand John Travolta these days), and gonna buy speed at some point.

cheers.

Saving Private Ryan DTS is meant to be one of the best sounding DVDs around. Only available on R1

'Ryan' is one of my all time best movies, so naturally cant wait to get Band of Brothers...although I didnt see it when it first aired...and still havent. Yet.

I also really like Saving Private Ryan but haven't seen Band of Brothers. The praise from fellow Forum members is very high for it, but I am wary of buying something for Ł40-50 without actually having seen any of it before.

"Best Special Effects Laden DVD's?"

That one with the Windows screensaver representing a "martyrs" entry to paradise?

Or, for the conspiratorially minded, this one?

8-] Good point - I thought the same so I've been watching the show on BBC2 Sunday 10pm - Looks pretty good so I'll be buying it - DTS on R1 only is a bit of a pain (prefer DTS given a choice)

just finished Eight Legged Freaks, thats all special effects ... most movies like this will be forgotten about within a year though!

Star Wars 2 AOTC is another packed with effects ... also Shaolin Soccer has some brilliant effects mainly in the last match, not sure there all worth owning but nice eye candy!
