Getting data off of kindle tablets

This is probably the longest of long shots, but I hope someone may be able to advise.

I have three kindle fire tablets of various models. None of them seem to want to charge / power up anymore.

However they belong to my god children who lost their father suddenly two years ago, and upon which we think they will have photos and videos that they took that likely don’t exist anywhere else

Is there anyway of trying to get the data off the devices ?
As said I know long shot but just hope someone may know

As you can see here:

Opening them is not difficult. I would get a working one off Ebay and use it to swap parts around with the non-working ones. It might be just a case of the battery being dead, so swapping that over to the non-working ones might bring them back to life.

You will need to make sure that you pick one that is the same model as the ones you have. The other option is to open them, check the battery model and get a third party replacement like this one:

Hope that helps

This is timely - sounds like the same problem my Mum has with hers. Will look into that battery idea.
