The Fifth Element 4K

I ordered and received the 4K version of The Fifth Element a few days ago. Intend to see it tonight. As a film I give it only 6/10 but found some of the Special Effects impressive.

An interesting observation is that I paid £21.99 for the 4K BD on Zavvi, whch compares favourably with the £24.99 that I had to shell out of the DVD around 20 years ago, the most expensive single disc DVD that I ever bought.

It's still one of my favourites too.

Saw it on 4K and enjoyed it. Liked the film itself better than I recall and upped my own score to 7/10. The AV transfer is great, especially the future city scenes.

It's basically a [sci-fi] farce and all the better for it.

I really like it too, and would have been even better if played totally straight.

Milla puts in a great performance, although sadly (can't believe I'm saying this) has too few clothes for a kids' screening.
