Manic Street Preachers last night at Southbank Royal Festival Hall (part of Meltdown). This was the 16th time Iíve seen them, but one of the best gigs they have done over the past couple of years. A really good venue, and saw Travis there last week.

Foo Fighters, Liam Gallagher, QOTSA and Jack White lined up for the next couple of weeks. Sometimes living in London has its benefits.

My last 4 weekends has been Rolling Stones, Download Festival, Hollywood Vampires, Foo Fighters. I now have nothing booked until Clutch at Christmas!

Why does everything always come at the same time?!?!

I guess because nobody wants to go to a stadium gig or a festival in the middle of winter, they're actually only about 2 months of weekends available before the footy needs them back

Vampires was indoors. As was lenny kravitz, sheryl crow, pearl jam, and a load more this month (that I would've gone to if they weren't all overlapping)...

Last Tuesday I acetylene wanted to see Manics, Pearl Jam and the Stones on the same day. Chose The Manics, as already seen the Stones twice this year and Pearl Jam went and cancelled - so hope to go to their rescheduled show.

At gigs Thu, Fri, Sat this week - too old for it!

Cheers, will do! It's this Saturday and I've still not looked up the smaller bands on Spotify. I've not heard of most of them... (mainly going for The Hives, Iggy Pop and of course Queens of the Stone Age)

Machine Head last month at The Roundhouse in Camden was amazing. Glad they didn't have any support as they got to play a much longer set!

QOTSA gig this weekend.

Now seeing Arctic Monkeys in September (I'm not a fan, I'm just going with my girlfriend)

And Nothing But Thieves in November!

FYI, the cancelled second night at The O2 for Pearl Jam has been re-arranged for 17 July.

The Cure in Hyde Park this weekend....am less than keen on big outdoor events as I always seem to end up miles from the stage surrounded by people having loud conversations....but giving this a go as the lineup is good...

Enjoyed The Cure on Saturday...though I heard that the sound quality was a bit ropey towards the back of the crowd. Slowdive and Goldfrapp were highlights also...

Iíve been to Hyde Park before and itís not been great - stadiums and indoor arenas are usually so much better.

I went to Finsbury Park to see Liam Gallagher and then Queens if the Stone Age m, at the latter we were 15 metres from the stage and I could have a conversation with a friend next to me at the same volume I would in my house. The sound was utterly pathetic. At the back for Liam Gallagher mainly due to the 40k in-breads who had not evolved in 20 years. Two really disappointing experiences.

First and probably last time in Hyde Park could barely see The Cure and I wasn't what I would consider that far back, I even struggled to see the screens and I am not short, sound was OK at best. I am eager to see the Cure again in a proper venue next time.

Itís really annoying, because as fans you donít really get a choice, where else were The Cure playing this year? Itís such a shame as they sell out due to the line-up, but the experience is always poor.

I get Hyde Park/Finsbury Park/ Clapham Common are in residential areas, but if you canít put on a decent show as a result of noise levels or canít provide decent facilities - then donít. Plenty of Stadiums could do the job better. Been to gigs at Arsenal, Wembley, Twickenham, Olympic Stadium - and they are always far better.

No-one goes to the Summer Time gigs because they love Hyde Park, we donít care where is it, just go because of who is playing.

Sorry you had a poor experience.

Yeah, there was a choice. I chose to see Roger Waters in an arena and chose to not see the cure as they couldn’t be ****** playing proper venues.

First and last time believe me, as others have said proper Stadiums offer a far better experience but can still draw huge crowds.
