Gutted, was supposed to be seeing Royal Blood in London next Tuesday but can’t make it due to work.

If anybody fancies a couple of standing tickets for face value, let me know.

Deep Purple last night in Cardiff. Supported by Cats in Space, who were excellent and Europe who were heavier than I expected.

Caught Deep Purple on BBC2 red button last week. They were great, regretting not going to see them.

Saw them on Tuesday at Ally Pally. They were very good, but I felt they didn’t have enough songs for an 1:45 set. Saw them do a 60 min set in Lisbon in the summer and that was phenomenal.

Laibach in Angel Islington on Thursday and it was one of their more avant garde shows (though it comes across better with the album).

Still, good to see them again.

Saw Nothing But Thieves in Bristol the other week - excellent!
Seeing Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes on Friday at the O2 Bristol...should be amazing. Saw him at Glastonbury (just before The Killers' "secret" gig) and he's a force of nature.

Good to see another Nothing But Thieves fan - they are great (although their audience tends to be very young)

Saw The Last Internationale last night in a pub in Brixton, only about 60 people there. Blew me away, amazing. Stuck around and hung out with the audience afterwards - it’s a shame they are not bigger, supported The Who, Neil Young etc and deserve a bigger audience.

New album in Jan on Pledge music, and tour of the U.K. in Feb - would encourage anyone to check them out.

This was sandwiched in between Killers at the O2 on Monday, and Kasabian in the tent tomorrow. Busy week.

Saw Gorillaz last night at the NIA - kids decided it was one of best shows they've been to, probably as they've gown up with them.

Pauline Black was the big surprise - great voice and amazing performer.

Oh My God Frank Carter is insanely good!
Totally amazing - was against the barriers to the left with my OH. He did his usual "Standing on the crowd" thing, but it ended with a handstand in the crowd itself...he then made his way to the back of the O2 and did a couple of songs. Then he shouted "They gave me a ******* radio mic" and vaulted the barrier to get the the bar area while singing...he proceeded to do a whole song while going through the bar, up the stairs and round the entire venue.
The energy is just incredible! I can't believe he's just got over an illness.

Got confirmation from 10Club yesterday that I'd got 2 seated tickets to Pearl Jam at the O2 on 18 Jun.
And then I've got to get back to Birmingham before heading off to see the Foo's at the Etihad on 19 Jun.

I was going to go and see Mastodon but the 32 quid ticket price to see them in a Student Uni put me off a bit.
