Was really looking forward to this episode (not this particular one but the one dealing with this) but wasn't that impressed, wasn't bad as such, just not as good as I was hoping for

That was ******* excellent. Edge of my seat throughout and so much fun. Nice tie in to both TOS and ENT with the Defiant. I could watch a whole show with Captain Tilly.

Hopefully the Emperor turns out to be a descendant of Hoshi!

It was great, nicely linked with past MU episodes from past series. In the episode where they had the very out of place F word, it would of fitted well in this episode (if they felt the need to add it, not that they needed to)

So what's the story with the Defiant regarding ENT? I only knew it as DS9's little battle ship. I blotted most of ENT out long time ago

It was an excellent double episode of Enterprise with the cast changed to be their mirror universe evil counterparts.
They really hammed it up and enjoyed it, they even changed the credits to show the rise of the Terran Empire.

First couple of seasons of Enterprise were OK.... ish. The odd good episode dotted amongst some very average Trek, but the 3rd and 4th series were really fun. The 3rd series was really one long story, brought about by the season 2 finale where they go on the hunt for a species that had tried to destroy Earth.

The 4th series they just decided to have a little fun. We got an explanation for why TOS Klingons looked different.
Enterprise vs Nazis
Orion slave girl trio.....
The Mirror Universe double bill

Unfortunately the less said about the finale the better. Really bad ending.

Wondering why, when
That stretched credibility a bit for me.

Ah, thanks for that. For anyone else who'd forgotten, here's a quick recap I found online.

Very entertaining episode this week, the closest yet to feeling like a proper old-school Trek episode.

Had a chuckle at the Captain doing a bad Scottish Engineer accent...

I really enjoyed this episode, especially Captain Killy.

One fan theory is all but confirmed and another is looking more and more likely.

I'll spoiler this although it's speculation more than anything:

Not too sure about that, he looked as shocked as anyone; and he would know all about agony booths already so why would he volunteer for a mission that is likely to wind up with him being put in one.

My guess he is from the Kelvin or the Prime universe.

And didn't Spock say that it was easier for our Kirk to act like a barbarian than it was for barbarians to act like decent people. Although. Lorca is a bit meaner than most captains he does not seem to act like a barbarian.

For anyone interested, Enterprise is on Netflix as well.

S04 Episodes 18 & 19

I'd also recommend Eps 4,5,6,15,16,17

And those Enterprise episodes with the Defiant callback to The Original Series episode, 'The Tholian Web'.

Odd thing about seeing the Defiant again, not the cosmetic changes but the fact that it would still be in service. It must be at least 100 years old; they got rid of the Enterprise after 20. If the Terran Empire had the defiant all this time why do their ships look like the ones in Discovery's home universe?

Another vote for ENT's In A Mirror Darkly. The show really went before it's time S4 was a lot better than what came before but the finale was a kick in the balls while it was on the ground. A better ending would have been Archer signing the charter and then having to rush off to fight a Romulan Armada
