Ooh. It also mentions Starcrash and Battle Beyond the Stars which might interest me more. (With Battle Beyond the Stars and Galaxy of Terror, it's nice to see that James Cameron getting a bit of coverage. He's been quite quiet recently.)
If they eventually release Forbidden World on Blu I would be one happy camper, but Battle Beyond the Stars, Rock 'n Roll High School and Death Race 2000 will do nicely to be going on with.

News update:
Shout Factory are releasing about 50 Roger Corman films - all on DVD, many on Blu-ray - over the next few months.
I paid about £20 for the French DVD of that! Ahh, happy times of idiocy. I wonder how ropey it'll look in HD, can't imagine they'll have found much better source materials.
Excellent, Forbidden World and Galaxy of Terror on Blu in July! and Forbidden World is also going to include a Director's Cut! if they do it right that could be the trash-classic Blu Ray release of the year. In my opinion, the film encapsultes everything that was great about New World films from that era.
Good to see that the Galaxy of Terror blu has got the old vhs cover rather than the **** cover that the UK dvd had.

These are fantastic discs (okay, they're not going to amaze anyone on the picture quality front, although I was very impressed by Humanoids), just a shame that Shout Factory seem to be backing away from releasing any more Corman stuff on Blu for the time being. Their arguement seems to be that glossy sci fi films look good on Blu Ray but grungier horror stuff doesn't, but I think it's just down to money and they're waiting to see how these sell.

They would probably sell a fair few more if they weren't region locked.

Oh my God... I can't believe this thread was 2 years ago!
Has anyone else tried playing any of these on a Region B machine?
I went ahead and ordered Starcrash, as I've been lucky and managed to get every Region A locked disc to play on my Panasonic, by fiddling with the menu system, but this one just started by itself with no problem.
The 2nd disc is still a dvd locked to R1, and the time counter didn't change whilst playing the film but other than that, it played fine (and mostly looked a lot better than I was expecting).
