It's a very good price. They rarely go for less than £14 per 2100 lately. Typically £15 for 2100 would be good.

Tempted to go for the 250Gb console. I have a severely old 20Gb model at present and am wondering how I would go about transferring everything from the old to new?

You'd need the
Microsoft Xbox 360 Cable Hard Drive Transfer Kit

Or a USB stick, I just used one of those in the end. Fit all my saves and a good few XBLA titles on it, the rest could be redownloaded.

Can someone convince me of the benefits of getting the 250gb over the 4gb Xbox?

I had an original Xbox 360 which I upgraded the hard drive to 80gb but I never used it.
I am thinking of getting a new one for my son but just trying to work out if the extra hd space is worth it.

Well if you never install game to drive, purchase DLC and never download any apps. Then I guess the disc space is useless for you.
