Surge Protected USB Charging Adaptor.

Bought a couple of Surge Protected USB Charging Adaptor at my local sainsburys for £4.49 which is way cheaper than anywhere else. They retail for £9.99 in most places including Argos (link to the item).
I think it is in store only and not online.
Pretty useful for charging your kit but still keeping a socket free.

I bought one last weekend for that price, but returned it for a refund. The power output is very low, it could only trickle charge my Galaxy Nexus, so not much use to me.

Emeyedeejay I think you're mistaken for my £22.99 xbox controller post!

Output isn't brilliant but will do for an overnight charge for most demanding devices. I need to use one of mine to power two fans salvaged from an old PC to keep my AV cabinet cool!

The output is 1A per socket - I use mine to charge my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 simultaneously without issue. The iPad 2 is notorious for complaining about low-powered chargers (displaying "Not Charging" next to the power icon) but my iPad seems to charge well using it (the official iPad 2 charger outputs 2A).
