Just to note that Pixmania mention that this will require a UK adapter (which they supply for free), probably because it's from an EU supplier source so will have an EU plug.

Very nearly bought one of these for about £71 from Amazon over the weekend, glad I held off!
Further to the euro plug thing, the voltage adapter is built into plug so it's a chunky one already, so if you've got no clearance on your socket 'cause there's a desk blocking it or something this may not fit, especially with a plug converter on there too.
urgh, just bought a 1tb one for same money from ebuyer... nightmare!!
Ebuyer!!!!!
NOOOOOOO.
Why do people ALWAYS go to Ebuyer first! It's like Ebay: no longer always the cheapest option.
Seriously, I always check Amazon out first.
They've been selling the WD External 1tb for £45 for AGES now, and this last couple of weeks it's been £40.
OP, can we have some tags please? Especially HDD and 2TB (you can't search for 3 letter terms but we can have 3 letter tags). Otherwise it's going to be a pain trying to find this thread

Have you not seen the thread in here? There have been loads of 1TB drives for £40 or less. If you paid £56 then you overpaid by a lot!
Cheers OP, been looking for another 2TB for a while now. Discount code 3JITUK gives 5% off IT equipment bringing the price down to £53.64.

I wouldn't worry about the plug adapter - they're pretty good quality screw in ones these days, so you open it up, put the euro plug inside it, and screw it together.
Cheers for the Dixons tip-off - have gone for a pair. Been meaning to properly sort out all my various backed-up bits into one place, and do a mirrored copy. This'll force me into doing it now!
