Community Season 2 US pace (spoilers?)

Great opener. The Chang moment at the end was pure brilliance. This continues to be the best written sitcom on TV.

Fantastic opener which brilliantly handled the cheesy sitcom love-triangle that threatened the very existence of the show.

My week-one battle of the thursday evening, US comedy-tv shows is as follows:

1. Community
2. The Big Bang Theory
3. The Office
4. 30 Rock

Obviously if Parks & Recreation was around, it would hump the lot of them, but we gotta wait for its return.

Yup, this is probably my favourite opening episode out of of all I've watched so far this season, not just comedies. It's a close battle with Parks and Recreation for my favourite comedy at the moment, but as P&R isn't back yet this can be number one until that time!

Loved the Jeff/Britta moments and Betty White's stuff in particular, but generally a very strong opening.

Fantastic! Easily the best half hour show on at the moment, and much funnier than everything else that aired on Thursday.

Very strong opener, knocked it out of the park compared to the openers for The Office + 30 Rock (though they weren't bad).

Betty White's combined tool

Not as good this week but worth it alone for the chloroform scenes.

Not sure, but I think it's a double episode, nice way to start and I'm going to give it a whirl.

The first series was pretty poor (not Mike&Molly/%&*% my dad says poor, though) but this weeks was actually pretty good. I could see Shirley's hipocrosy from the conversation in the canteen.

Loved Troy and Abed's Han and Leia moment!

This episode is up there with the Paintball one!

All a matter of opinion obviously, but I thought Community was one of the best shows of last year, and it came closer than any other show last year to one episode of TV perfection (the paintball episode*). I actually thought last weeks episode was one of the messiest and most unfocussed episodes we'd had in ages, though even then there were some good moments.

*EDIT: Just seen Richie's post. Why am I working till 7pm tonight? Must, watch, Community!

NBC debuted its Halloween special Scared Shrekless (8.2 million, 2.5 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) at 8 p.m. to a very solid number. Pushed to 8:30 p.m., Community (5.7 million, 2.4) rose 26% to its best rating since last January. Makes you wonder what kind of numbers Community would pull if it aired after CBS' Big Bang Theory (12.8 million, 4.1), which was steady along with $#*! My Dad Says (10.8 million, 3.1) this week.

This pleases me!
