Of course it was in the Bargain Forum, then when it went back up I moved it here as per normal when prices shoot back up.

Even if it was, as I said before, you are incorrect in your assertion that only new goods appear in the bargain forum.

You seem to be flogging a dead horse for no other reason than to make trouble.

Can you not find something more productive to do with your time?

Sorry, it's just that usually when things are in the bargain forum and get moved they have:

1) A post added saying 'moving'
2) An entry remaining in the bargain forum index with a 'MOVED' indicator.

This thread has neither of these.

In any case, it's completely irrelevant because Grade-A items do appear in the bargain forum and you actually stated the reason you said what you did.

Nothing to do with newness which CLH keeps banging on about.

I just noticed that it was available for a price other than any of those mentioned in this thread and thought someone might be interested.

If I'd known that it would start all this pedantic nit-picking I wouldn't have bothered.

You've done nothing but try and cause trouble making various incorrect assertions that are not in any way intended to assist anyone looking for a supplier.

You failed to see post #8 then:

http://thedvdforums.com/forums/showp...08&postcount=8

As for the moved indicator, we can set this to disappear after a certain length of time as I did here as it was set to show for one day only.

I asserted that this thread was in the bargain thread : correct.

I asserted that the original price was there : correct.

I asserted that I considered that the bargain thread was for new products : correct given that I agree that graded products can be considered such.

So I'm not sure who I'm misleading or causing trouble for?

Incidentally, a link cannot be posted but there IS a NEW one available for 799 currently on the bay. I hope that may help anyone who wanted one.

Well, there is no evidence (as there is with any other thread I've ever seen moved) that this is the case.

Erroneously stating that only new items appear in the bargain forum. That is not the case.

Erroneously stating that Alan said what he did because it was not a brand new item. Also not the case as he has himself said.

Stating "I have no idea what your accusing Alan b of here" when I wasn't accusing him of anything. I just said that the thread title was misleading which it is. I've seen many threads have their titles changed when the headline price is no longer available.

Luv, it was in the bargain forum. Give it a rest eh?

As to your other points, whilst it appears that you also have nothing better to do, I stated my view of the relevance not Alan's. How could I state Alan's view?

Further I cannot do anything erroneous with the phrase "I have no idea what your accusing Alan b of here." Because I had no idea what you were. That you were not is irrelevant to the fact that I had no idea. That you were not does not make my statement erroneous.

In any event I've assisted with posting two "bargains" above. Shall we leave it there and find something better to do with our time?

No on here you haven't as we never change threads titles just because the item isn't available anymore as there is no point in doing it, that is why this thread title hasn't been altered.

There is no marker in the bargain forum as is left behind when threads are moved.

Those markers are placed there by the software for the specific purpose of preventing arguments and confusion when a thread is moved.

If there's no marker you must be mistaken about it ever being there.

Just as you were mistaken about only new items appearing in the bargain forum.

Just as you were mistaken about the reason Alan posted what he did.

You eventually posted two bargains after I pointed out that the only reason you'd posted in this thread before that was to make trouble.

It's people like you who make others feel it's just not worth while taking the trouble to post information for the benefit of forum members which is a pity.

It was in the bargain forum. It was moved.

Are you claiming Alan b is lying when he says it was? Or that he moved it?

He also missed bit where I said that we have the ability to leave the redirect in place for a certain length of time, in this case I left it there for a day so it will not be visible in the Bargain Forum now.

All of that is completely irrelevant anyway because your assertion that only new items appear in the bargain forum was wrong. So where it started out is neither here nor there.

Would not the point be to save people from thinking there was a bargain available and wasting their time (and your server resources) looking at a thread only to find they had been mislead by the title?

It would seem a courtesy that some forum members think worthwhile as there is evidence of title changes in the index on several occasions.

Or are we just supposed to assume that anything that looks like a bargain in this forum is a defunct thread from elsewhere?

So my incorrect belief negates the fact that you were wholly wrong that this had been moved?

Haven't you got anything better to do?

Alan will no doubt confirm but my belief is that expired bargains get moved from bargain to suppliers.

Correct. I am closing this now as it is quite obvious who is barking up the wrong tree.

Closing
