He's no different to Gary Glitter in many ways and regardless of who he is, should have had his career flushed down the toilet the minute he was found guilty.
The irony will be that some will tolerate him being a perv because he made a film they like, whereas "Leader of the Gang" is universally cack.
Just saw this on the news. I think he should be prosecuted for what he's done. Though I just hope he gets to finish "The Ghost" first

agreed Splobs ....I work in social services and I see the result of this on daily basis....I can just hear the usual old excuses
I didn't know what age she was
I thought she was older
I haven't done anything wrong....she led me on...
blah blah blah
Let's not forget this wasn't some 10 year old boy experimenting with his sexuality....this was grown man (44 at the time !!!) who knew very well what he was doing... In 77, he was arrested in LA and plead guilty to "unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor" (13-year-old girl) was then released after a 42-day psychiatric evaluation and then ****** off to France !!!
I like Leader of the Gang but have hardly ever heard it played since, unlike Michael Jackson, who was found innocent, but you still heard his music before the verdict (albeit it did go quiet for a little while).

I think you have hit the nail on the head....Jackson went to court....and was found not guilty by all 11 jurors...Polanski admitted his guilt...then ran away !
I remember reading many different numbers over the years for doing what he has done. Child rape sadly may end up being the least of his time, and evading the US of A justice system etc.. may well send him away for good.
