Great news for any fan of Office Space, Mike Judge has a new film coming out this week in the US called Extract. Even better, it stars Jason Bateman (Arrested Development). So far it's got all the makings of a great comedy.
Looks good. With this and The Informant coming, it could be a good year for comedies.
I just hope this puts Mike Judge back on track, because even though it has founded the beginnings of a small cult following, I thought Idiocracy was terrible.
.
Same here. While I liked the idea, it was a one trick pony and felt like a long SNL sketch. This seems less absurd, as it's set in the real world and I think it's a bit closer to Office Space.
I liked Idiocracy for the 1st half, especially the clever prologue, but it was really a one-joke movie and didn't have enough to sustain it for a feature length flick.
It was alright, but who wants to watch an alright film? I want to see a good film or even a great film. That was the problem with it, it was just "alright". Given that Office Space was a great film, Idiocracy was a big let down

I watched this the other night and it's alright. Nothing brilliant. Bateman is playing the same character he has done since Arrested Development. Passed a couple of hours is the best review I can give it.

Feel pretty much the same. There's not much to dislike about it, but nothing much to like either, all round fairly "meh".
I'd been looking forward to this for a while now (as I love the previous films he's done) but it was a definite "s'ok" - wouldn't buy it on DVD/Blu I don't think - but it filled a morning at the cinema.
