Name these two disaster movies from 70's/80's?

These may have been TV movies. They're both in the same style as far as I remember. Trapped people waiting to be rescued from a disaster at the start of the movie deal with soap-style issues shown in flashbacks.

One was a cable car stuck half-way up a mountain, the other was a suspension bridge where each end of the bridge had collapsed leaving people trapped on the bit inbetween.

The cable car movie was called Hanging by a Thread. I don't know the other one.

whats that 70's movie where a guy makes a plane crash into a tall building with the power of his mind?

Someone answered it for someone else but i cant find the old thread.
