help needed identifying music: doctor who confidential

can anyone help?
on tonight's bbc3 doctor who confidential (DHC episode "The Writer's Tale"/ DH episode "The Idiot's Lantern"), there was a short clip of music played right at the start - mainly drums / guitars (quite powerful) - i recognise it as some chart music but can't quite put my finger on who sings it / what song it's from. sounded u2/killers-ish, but i'm sure it's neither of them.

have googled but i can't find the info - are there any sites that list music used in episodes? or does anyone know? it's doing my head in - please help

From that list I'd guess Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies). Seems to fit your description.

yay!!! cheers!! rebellion it is - i knew i'd heard it before, having heard the full song i new remember it was on a mate's skate video that he made.

btw wasn't aware that bbc listed the music used - i should have gone there first
