Hellboy II: The Golden Army [3rd trailer June 28 08!]

Bloody hell! Is there not a thread in this forum? I did a specific search and found nowt.

Anyway. I expect some to let rip on this film as for some reason hellboy is loved by some, reviled by others, but at any rate, here is the first trailer, 8 months early.

Looks more of the same to be honest, [therefore: totally in the spirit of the comics ] but the monsters look amazing.
Luke Goss though...

I will be watching this. It reminded me that I have the DC of the first one to watch for the first time.

The John Landis reference in the trailer made me smile.

Brilliant! I like the look of that already. Bring it on!

Any idea who the new guy on the left is? I don't recognise him from the comics I've read.

Johann is from the spin off series B.P.R.D. not Hellboy itself. But thats where you'll find him

It's does look like Pans Labyrinth 2: Smackdown.

But that's not really a bad thing.

This looks really cool.

One point to mention: The first movie is a Sony movie so had a BluRay release, this sequel looks to be a Universal movie, so will ultimately get a HDDVD release.

Bugger.

The one advantage of being with Universal is apparently they let Del Toro use thier 'classic' monsters in the film.

Looks brilliant, I watched the first one fully expecting it to be rubbish, but was blown away with how much fun it was. All my mates watched it aswell, even my gf who dont usually like this sort of thing and they all loved it to.

Fantastic, cant wait to watch it!

Looking at the trailer more closely, I think its great that you can spot which beasties have been personally designed by Mike Mignola this time - the featured troll and the Golden Army soldiers themselves look like they've stepped right out of the book.
